How do I setup my D-Link
wireless device so that I am reasonably secure? I know that with
wireless I can never thwart off all would-be information thieves but I
want to be as secure as possible and still enjoy the freedom that is
wireless. |

 |
As you are probably aware
wireless network access uses radio waves in the air so that you do not
have to hook up to your network with a freedom constricting wire. This
also means that others can use this medium as well. It's a good idea to
restrict that usage any way you can to keep what is yours, yours. The
following link will help to ensure you are taking all possible
precautions to avoid losing your hold on your information.

I bought a new computer from
Bē and I'm having a problem, how does my warranty work? |
| |
 |
Most computers bought through Bē come
with a 3 year warranty, some with 1 year warranty. Either way the
warranty is for parts and labor on the hardware only. If there is a
problem with your computer's hardware due to a manufacturer defect of
some sort, we will fix it free of charge as long as you bring it to us
for the life of the warranty. If Bē must come out to your facility to
fix the equipment there will be a one time service call charge of $69.
There is no labor warranty on parts bought separately. Bē will
replace the part if defective within the manufacturers warranty at no
cost to the customer. Customer is responsible for the labor.

I'm thinking about putting
wireless is my currently wired network. What should I know before doing
this? |
| |
 |
Wireless LANs provide a tremendous
amount of freedom and flexibility and support the increasing desire for
always-on, always-available connectivity. However, wireless LANs also
break down the notion of a definable "network edge," and bring
significant new challenges for maintaining network security. With proper
augmentation, the security deficiencies of wireless LANs can be
mitigated, enabling the benefits of untethered connectivity without
compromising security. more

I have a DSL connection at
my home or office, can I get more than 1 computer to participate on this
connection? |
| |
 |
Yes, we employ the use of a DSL Router.
This device, depending on your need for security, can merely connect
more than one device to the Internet as well as shield you from the
would-be data thieves, scan incoming data for viruses, spyware and SPAM.
Some devices will perform all kinds of functions in the effort to keep
your intellectual properties secure. more
